Susan Senft, Founder/Artistic Director
and Conductor of Pacifica Chamber Singers
Susan Senft founded Pacifica Children’s Chorus in 1993 in response to the growing interest in choral music education that engaged both girls and boys and that celebrated world music through local community partnerships. Susan hold a Master of Music degree with Kodály Emphasis from Holy Names College in Oakland CA and a B.FA. in Music from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.
Alina Gibitz, Conductor of the Treble Choir
Alina joined Pacifica in 2010. A recent arrival to Seattle from Ohio, Alina serves as the music specialist at Alexander Graham Bell Elementary School in Kirkland. Her past work includes providing bi-lingual instruction in an elementary school with a high level of Spanish-language speakers. She has a degree in music education from Ohio State University and has completed her first level training in the Kodály program at Seattle Pacific University.
Melyssa Stone, Conductor of the Ensemble and the Children’s Chorus
Melyssa joined Pacifica in 2010. She teaches music at Lowell Elementary School in Seattle. She has been a vocalist in Seattle Symphony’s Pop Concert series featuring indie artist Ben Folds and a speaker at the Giant Magnet’s International Children’s Festival. She is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a degree in music education.
